The Propaganda War (And How to Fight It)

Every totalitarian system in history has used the power of visual propaganda to generate a new “reality,” one that reifies its official ideology, remaking the world in its own paranoid image. New Normal totalitarianism is no exception. For example, take a look at this panel copied from the landing page of The Guardian — one of the global-capitalist ruling classes’ primary propaganda organs — on July 17, 2021 …

This isn’t just “biased” or “sensationalist” journalism. It is systematic official propaganda, no different than that disseminated by every other totalitarian system throughout history. Here’s the one from the following day …

Forget about the content of the articles for a moment and just take in the cumulative visual effect. Official propaganda isn’t just information, misinformation, and disinformation. It is actually less about getting us to believe things than it is about creating an official reality, and imposing it on society by force. When you’re setting out to conjure up a new “reality,” images are extremely powerful tools, just as powerful, if not more powerful, than words.

Here are a few more that you might recall …

Again, the goal of this type of propaganda is not simply to deceive or terrorize the public. That is part of it, of course, but the more important part is forcing people to look at these images, over and over, hour after hour, day after day, at home, at work, on the streets, on television, on the Internet, everywhere. This is how we create “reality.” We represent our beliefs and values to ourselves, and to each other, with images, words, rituals, and other symbols and social behaviors. Essentially, we conjure our “reality” into being like actors rehearsing and performing a play … the more we all believe it, the more convincing it is.

This is also why mandatory masks have been essential to the roll-out of the New Normal ideology. Forcing the masses to wear medical-looking masks in public was a propaganda masterstoke. Simply put, if you can force people to dress up like they’re going to work in the infectious disease ward of a hospital every day for 17 months … presto! You’ve got yourself a new “reality” … a new, pathologized-totalitarian “reality,” a paranoid-psychotic, cult-like “reality” in which formerly semi-rational people have been reduced to nonsense-babbling lackeys who are afraid to go outside without permission from “the authorities,” and are injecting their children with experimental “vaccines.”

The sheer power of the visual image of those masks, and being forced to repeat the ritual behavior of putting them on, has been nearly irresistible. Yes, I know that you have been resisting. So have I. But we are the minority. Denying the power of what we are up against might make you feel better, but it will get us nowhere, or, in any event, nowhere good. The fact is, the vast majority of the public — except for people in Sweden, Florida, and assorted other officially non-existent places — have been robotically performing this theatrical ritual, and harassing those who refuse to do so, and thus collectively simulating an “apocalyptic plague.”

The New Normals — i.e., those still wearing masks outdoors, shrieking over meaningless “cases,” bullying everyone to get “vaccinated,” and collaborating with the segregation of the “Unvaccinated” — are not behaving the way they’re behaving because they are stupid. They are behaving that way because they’re living in a new “reality” that has been created for them over the course of the last 17 months by a massive official propaganda campaign, the most extensive and effective in the history of propaganda.

In other words, to put it bluntly, we are in a propaganda war, and we’re losing. We can’t match the propaganda power of the corporate media and New Normal governments, but that doesn’t mean we can’t fight back. We can, and must, at every opportunity. Recently, readers have been asking me how to do that. So, OK, here are a few simple suggestions.

The vast majority of obedient New Normals are not fanatical totalitarians. They’re scared, and weak, so they are following orders, adjusting their minds to the new official “reality.” Most of them do not perceive themselves as adherents of a totalitarian system or as segregationists, although that is what they are. They perceive themselves as “responsible” people following sensible “health directives” to “protect” themselves and others from the virus, and its ever-multiplying mutant “variants.” They perceive the “Unvaccinated” as a minority of dangerous, irrational “conspiracy theorist” extremists, who want to kill them and their families. When we tell them that we simply want our constitutional rights back, and to not be forced into being “vaccinated,” and censored and persecuted for expressing our views, they do not believe us. They think we’re lying. They perceive us as threats, as aggressors, as monsters, as strangers among them, who need to be dealt with … which is exactly how the authorities want them to perceive us.

We need to try to change this perception, not by complying or being “polite” to them. On the contrary, we need to become more confrontational. No, not violent. Confrontational. There is actually a difference, though the “woke” will deny it.

To begin with, we need to call things what they are. The “vaccination pass” system is a segregation system. It is segregationism. Call it what it is. Those cooperating with it are segregationists. They’re not “helping” or “protecting” anybody from anything. They are segregationists, pure and simple. Refer to them as “segregationists.” Don’t let them hide behind their terminology. Confront them with the fact of what they are.

Same goes for the rest of CovidSpeak. Covid “cases,” “deaths,” and “vaccines” get scare quotes. Healthy people are not medical cases. If Covid didn’t kill someone, they are not a Covid death, period. “Vaccines” that do not behave like vaccines, and that are killing and crippling tens of thousands of people, and that have not been adequately tested for safety, and that are being indiscriminately forced on everyone, do not get to be called vaccines.

OK, here comes the big idea, which will only work if enough people do it. You probably won’t like it, but what the hell, here goes …

This is the red inverted triangle the Nazis used in the concentration camps to designate their political opponents and members of the anti-Nazi resistance. Make one. Make it out of fabric, paper, or whatever material you have at hand. Put a big, black “U” in the center of it to signify “Unvaccinated.” Wear it in public, conspicuously. When people ask you what it means and why you are wearing it in public, tell them. Encourage them to do the same, assuming they’re not New Normal segregationists, in which case … well, that will be a different conversation, but go ahead and tell them too.

That’s it. That’s the whole big idea. That, and whatever else you are already doing. The triangle is not meant to replace that. It’s just one simple way for people to express their opposition to the totalitarian, pseudo-medical segregation system that is currently being implemented … despite all that other stuff you’ve been doing, and that I have been doing, for 17 months.

All right, I can already feel your disappointment. You thought I was going to propose a frontal assault on Klaus Schwab’s secret castle, or a guerilla naval attack on Bill Gates’ yacht. Cathartic as either of those endeavors might be, they would be (a) futile, and (b) suicidal. Frustrating as it has been for all of us, this is still a battle for hearts and minds. Essentially, it is a War on Reality (or between two “realities” if you prefer). It is being fought in people’s heads, not in the streets.

So, let me try to sell you on this red triangle thing.

The point of a visual protest like this is to force the New Normals to confront a different representation of what they, and we, are. A representation that accurately reflects reality. No, of course we are not in concentration camps — so, please, spare me the irate literalist emails — but we are being segregated, scapegoated, censored, humiliated, and otherwise abused, not for any legitimate public health reasons, but because of our political dissent, because we refuse to mindlessly follow orders and conform to their new official ideology. The New Normals need to be forced to perceive their beliefs and actions in that context, even if only for a few fleeting moments at the mall, or in the grocery store, or wherever.

Think of it this way … as I explained above, they are basically performing a theatrical event, conjuring up a “pandemic reality” with words, actions, and pseudo-medical stage props. What we need to become is that asshole in the audience who destroys the suspension of disbelief and reminds everyone that they’re sitting in a theater, and not in 15th Century Denmark, by loudly taking a call on his phone right in the middle of Hamlet’s soliloquy.

Seriously, we need to become that asshole as conspicuously as possible, as often as possible, to disrupt the show the New Normals are performing … and to remind them what they are actually doing, and who they are actually doing it to.

Look at the white people in the tweet above tormenting that girl who is just trying to go to school like any other student. The New Normals do not want to perceive themselves that way, as a pack of fanatical, hate-drunk segregationists, but that is what they are, because it is what they are doing … but it is not what most of them are by nature. Yes, some people are congenitally sociopathic, but no one is inherently totalitarian. We are not born fascists or segregationists. We have to be programmed to be that way. That’s what the propaganda is for, not to mention all the other authoritarian conditioning we are subjected to from the time we are children.

Or that’s the gamble, or the leap of faith, behind the inverted red triangle thing. It is a basic non-violent civil-disobedience tactic, which works on people who still have a conscience and haven’t gone full totalitarian yet.

Granted, it might not work this time — we are already at the stage where they are going to imprison restaurant owners for serving the “Unvaccinated” — but it might, and what have we got to lose?

    1. Even the vaccinated are catching up with the news that they can be infected and transmit. As their faith in vaccination wobbles it is far better to point out to them the OTHER gaping holes in official narrative. So no – don’t exasperate the vaxxed/novaxxed split! That is suicidal.

    I am wondering why, after people from Germany already used the powerfull yellow star symbol (enough to catch the attention of BBC), the honourable C.J.Hopkins is proposing the usage of the vitually unknown symbol of red inverted triangle?

      2. For months I have been wearing a 5-pointed yellow star to protest the segregation of the un-genetically modified. I used the 5-pointed star because it is the star on our American flag and the color yellow to remind people of the parallells of history. Mine are made from 2-layers of felt sewn together. I don’t write anything on it. I feel it speaks for itself. I just wear it prominantly on my clothes. Only one friend asked what it meant after seeing it on me for over 2 months, but after I told him the symbology, he said he kind of guessed. I believe anyone who does see it silently knows. That’s why so many I pass in the street look at it, but pretend they didn’t see, because they don’t want to face their blatant bais against those of us who love freedom so much they would expose themselves outwardly rather than cave to this medical tyranny.

        A New York Post article captioned under a photo of a friend of mine who was handing out the 5-pointed stars at a Teachers For Choice rally that she was handing out Stars of David and encouraging people to wear them. I made them retract the comment and they did. I told them it was clear in the photo that it was a 5-pointed star in the photo and that their comment could make our silent protest appear anti-semetic. I told them I purposely used the 5-pointed star out of respect for the Jewish people and to remind people that history was repeating itself right hear in the United States. Censorship, propaganda, othering, segregation, “show me your papers” and calls to violence for the unmasked, uninjected, and science reading critical thinkers was happening all around us, but most were to brain-fogged by fear of a “virus”, that they have becone totally irrational.

        So rather than a virtually unknown inverted red triangle, cut yourself a 5-pointed yellow star. They will get it, especially when they see 20 people wearing them sitting outside a restaurant in NYC becaused the don’t have the right papers. It would be powerful.

I live in the Upper Midwestern U.S. When I am not at work and out in public, I wear a handwritten sticker (name tag size, 2-1/3″ x 3-3/8″, 5.9 cm x 8.6 cm, written with black and red Sharpie markers) that says: “Are u willing to CONDONE (caps in RED) a vaccination segregated society?” My goals are 1) to elicit discussion and 2) to alert people that to not speak up and oppose segregation is to condone segregation.

      We have not gone through 20 years of endless lies and campaigns of WMD, Muslims, Terrorists, Putin, Covid, Clima, Green, QE, to wake anybody up today with posters.
      They will just see us as black sheep who jeopardize their comfort, and if they get a feeling we are right, they will just sacrifice us as cannon fodder on the frontline to save themselves standing behind.
      But I agree the most important thing is to confront the narrative with facts, and then let people do the thinking and choice for themselves.

I’m in Australia and the tight lockdowns and blind obedience to power despite the low “cases” and “deaths” down here (less “deaths” than the little Caribbean island of Jamaica) is testament to the low thinking ability of my fellow Australians. I feel sad (and a little frightened for the future) that my TV-addicted junkie neighbours need only the slightest propagandic jolt in their life to send them into a hysterical mask-wearing, arm-jabbing frenzy. I note that the “deaths” stats would send them into a frenzy 15 months ago, however the “cases” stats are achieving the same result today. Interesting psychological shift by the media. We have only required the “deaths” of 922 “covid-related-or-died-of-heart-disease-but-tested-positive-to-covid” octogenarians in 17 months in a nation of 25 million to shift our behaviour. Shame on us.

    It would be an interesting study (which I’m sure the pandemic planners did years ago) to determine how much propaganda is necessary to make population “X” act like you want them to act. Some nationalities may be more compliant to power (eg Australia) and others may be more resistant (eg Italy after their awful experiment with Fascism 100 years ago?). I guess that there are 240 answers to that question and therefore a tailor-made propaganda solution for each country.

    Btw, maybe a Purple Triangle would be more appropriate?

    The Nazis designated different symbols/colours on the clothing of their “prisoners”, for ease of identification (and a divide-and-conquer psyop, of course). The Jews wore a yellowish “Star of David”. Not sure of the colour/symbol of the gypsies, homosexuals, disabled etc.

    Of all the groups in the concentration camps that could have left (upon signing a declaration of resignation of their faith) was the Jehovah’s Witnesses, who were made to wear purple triangles on their clothing. Their numbers in the concentration camps were very small (less than 10,000?) compared to the Jews, however almost all of the German JWs DID NOT renounce their faith and therefore died. It demonstrates CJ’s point in his articles that totalitarian regimes do not tolerate any non-compliance, whether violent or non-violent, with the New Normal. Before any genocide, the population is “softened up” with divide-and-conquer tactics of labelling. Vegan. White. Black. Republican. Rwandan “cockroaches”, LGBT. Darwinist. Feminist. Anti-Trump. Pro-Trump. Pro-vaccine. Anti-war. Climate-denier. 911 Truther. If we only had the one title “human”, then we are 8 billion strong. That is a recurring nightmare for the elite.

    History, of course, is both a warning and a template, depending on which side of the fence you are.

    I’ve really appreciated your writings the last couple of years.

    I would like to offer an additional approach – one that is not exclusive to your or others approaches.

    I personally believe that it is the middle ~25% of a population that allows things to happen in a society.
    In 2003, our narrative managers did not have to convince everyone that Iraq had WMD. They just had to convince the middle 25%. And they were successful.

    Right now, our narrative managers have successfully convinced the middle 25% that the only way out of this is 100% vaccination, et al.

    Those 25%, however, are middle of the road folks because they have at least SOME ability to see things from different perspectives. I have found that this can be cultivated by getting them to question the mainstream narrative.

    This approach will obviously fail each and every time, unless you follow Rule #1, which is to never mention more than one fact in a discussion. And to focus not on the fact itself, but on the reality that it can’t be explained by the mainstream narrative.

    If you state any more facts, you’ll just fit inside their existing narrative “here’s this guy with all of these crazy ideas”. Just stick to the one fact, and direct your FOCUS, once again, NOT on the fact, but on its INABILITY TO BE EXPLAINED BY THEIR NARRATIVE.

    For example, months ago, at least here in the US, our News was flooded with stories about India’s skyrocketing Covid mortality rate. At the time, our News was saying India’s Covid experience was a portent to come for all of us, and that the only way to avoid it was for everyone to hurry up and get vaccinated.

    Now India’s Covid mortality rate is dropping as fast as it had skyrocketed before. This is well before its increasing vaccination rate could possibly have had a significant effect.

    And what is our News saying about it now?

    Absolutely Nothing. This is glaringly obvious.

    People say, “Whoa. Yeah. What did happen to India?”
    You will have just cracked open the lid of the narrative jar.

    Get THEM to investigate further. Don’t answer the question for them. Don’t flood them with any more facts right now. Let them think through the reality that the mainstream narrative makes no sense.

    I fit this one fact into a blog post entitled Homo Narrativus – mostly about how we should rename our species the “Hominid of Narrative”, as it is dramatically more appropriate than “Wise Hominid”.

    In summation, we can’t try to convince everyone. We should only try to convince those that have a history of seeing things from different perspectives. Let them impact what our society can or cannot do.

    And most importantly, remember that this technique is guaranteed to fail each and every time unless we follow rule #1.

  14. I opposed the whole thing but … still got forced by family (also they were “opposing” …) to get the jab, and I got it.
    Because … it was convenient. Maybe the most do it out of convinience.
    Sometimes they just win and you let them win to have some rest. Be warned, it can still happen, one moment of weakness is enough.
    Maybe I’ll never have problems and even some advantages, maybe I pay later, or someone else “forces” me to get the booster shot.
    This may go on and on, and I will have no excuses. So I just pretend to be unvaccinated and stay with the real cool kids of the resistance.
    Yes, vaccinated people might have been idiots in that moment, but some of them try to better themselves :D

    1. How can you be ‘forced’ by your family?

      My two older Aunts told me and my siblings we all had to be vaxxed to come to my mother’s funeral. We told them they needed to be tested before they came since the vaxxed are now a greater risk of asymptomatic spread than unvaxxed, therefore a danger to vaxxed and unvaxxed alike. We also pointed out they are selfish, asking those of us with a couple decades of quality life ahead of us to risk our health to ease the feelings of people who might only have a couple quality years in front of them. They uninvited themselves from the funeral.

      These are people who confuse existence with living, and I am the asshole to make that point.

  19. Politically conscious minorities do not want the mRNA vaccine. They have a healthy skepticism about its safety historically knowing that the government works hand-in-hand with the medical industry frequently implementing “deleterious experiments” against designated populations. The demographic who usually “suffers the most” due to medical neglect and experimentation would naturally tend to be the “most intuitive” about the dangers and side effects of “experimental gene therapy injections.”

    Last summer Black Lives Matter organized demonstrations worldwide to protest George Floyd’s horrific death from police brutality, yet not a whimper is heard from them now about “minority targeted segregation” against those refusing to be injected. In the US those who reject the gene therapy treatment are labeled right-wing anti-vaxxers, however, in Europe all political ideologies compromised of the young, old, black, and white are relentlessly protesting “together” against the irrational COVID mandates bringing totalitarian controls via brainless corrupt apparatchiks.

    It should be stressed, that the greatest murderer of black and brown people as well as all indigenous populations throughout this planet is by the chemical industry and the biological warfare labs, or shall I say “gain of function” institutes. So is there any wonder why as of August 2, 2021 the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data show 59% of Americans who received at least one COVID injection were Caucasian, 16% were Hispanic, 10% Black, 6% Asian and only 1% were Native American.

    It should also be noted, that in 2016 the Ford Foundation announced plans to fund the M4BL Movement For Black Lives in a “six-year investments” plan, further partnering up with others to establish the “Black-led Movement Fund.” The sum donated by the Ford Foundation and the other donors to M4BL was reported as $100 million by The Washington Times; another donation of $33 million to M4BL was reportedly issued by the Open Society Foundations.

    What is interesting, is that the Ford Foundation frequently works together with the Rockefeller Foundation and both “depraved organizations” have a long and sordid history of advancing Malthusian Eugenics.

    It’s the Rockefeller Foundation that in 2010 created the “Lock Step” Document which describes how a global pandemic ushers in a “new order.” This future dystopian scenario is the catalyst used to bring about “intense authoritarian control.”

    It appears that many Leftist organizations have been co-opted by “ruling class foundation money” and are kept on a tight and short leash. This would explain why no honest critical analysis of overt social/political repression associated with COVID mandates causing a two-tired authoritarian biosecurity state is ever seriously discussed by the “supposed US Left.” If this topic is mentioned by Liberal/Leftists, it’s usually to accuse those who question COVID mandates as being conspiracy theorists anti-vaxxers.

    US workers, minorities, and all others who question the safety of experimental injections have been “abandoned” by the US Left who are ironically advancing Rockefeller’s Lock Step Agenda.

  20. I chose to get the vaccine. I looked at the information that I was given, cross-referenced this with other information I dug up, and came to the conclusion that the vaccine was right for my wife and I.

    Those who made different choices are fine with me. But that is THEIR choice. I refuse to wear a mask, or show my “papers” to buy groceries or get a cup of coffee. Any business who inquires into my vaccination status will get my middle finger. If they don’t allow me in, I will buy my groceries elsewhere (from farmers if I have to).
